I'm moving to France!
I know it's been over a year since I've posted, however I just had wonderfully exciting news that I was accepted to be an intern with the French Heritage Society gardening in historic French parks and gardens throughout the countryside. For me, it's continuing my dream. Months ago, if you asked me about post-graduation plans I was terrified and wanted to run and hide. Although everyone else that knows me has complete faith in my abilities -- I am highly critical of myself. But my close friend Jackie told me that I need to look at things as a new perspective, yes, there are no set plans after you leave college but that doesn't mean you cannot have an incredible adventure. This is one situation where I am thrilled I do not have a boyfriend to tie me down, I am single, and I can go anywhere and be who I want to be, not what someone else wants me to be. It is such a refreshing thought. So here I am, two months before my graduation from Cornell, having my summer planned in France. Not only will I be living there, but I plan visiting contacts in Europe, specifically Landscape Architecture firms in Paris, Ireland, and England -- oh I cannot wait. Well, yes I can, I have plenty to do before that time and I am already sentimental about leaving here. It's time for me to start learning French! I'll also get back to my french cooking again :) Hmm, I wonder if I should tell my mom yet that I want to buy a one-way ticket....
